Michael McCann is a BAFTA-nominated and Clio-award winning composer, producer and sound designer. He has worked as composer for some of the world’s biggest companies in entertainment and advertising, including Paramount PicturesUbisoft, Square Enix, Columbia Pictures, TakeTwo Interactive / 2K Games, Deutsche Inc., OgilvyDiscovery Channel and many more.

 

Michael has been lead-composer on the multi-million selling games Borderlands 3Deus Ex: Human RevolutionDeus Ex: Mankind Divided, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent (as ‘Behavior’), XCOM: Enemy Unknown & Enemy Within and now the indie action-RPG Superfuse‘. He has had his music featured in, or been lead composer on  countless projects in television and advertising, including blockbuster film trailers, series’ from Discovery ChannelShowcase Networks, dozens of ad campaigns throughout the US, Canada and Europe, and his music has been performed by multiple orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Earlier in his career, Michael was also supervising sound designer & music editor on director Michael Dowse’s first indie films, It’s All Gone Pete Tong and FUBAR.

 

McCann’s original music for games, TV and advertising have earned him nominations from the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA), the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMAs), Spike TV VGA’s, G4TV, IGN, G.A.N.G, and earned a group Clio award (audio / visual) in advertising for Deus: Ex Mankind Divided’s “Announcement Trailer”. His work in sound design also earned him 2 Genie nominations and 2 Leo Awards.
